About B-MAT
B-MAT is used in about 800 educational institutions in Japan, and is an improved international Web version of brain training program, "Puzzle Dojo", which achieves an unprecedented result.
"B" for B-MAT stands for "Brain" and "MAT" stands for "Materis". It is a unique program that fosters (train a brain) a sensory field, which is difficult to develop through a general learning program, effectively but enjoyably as if playing a game.
It is accolade "Puzzle Dojo" in Japan and has already achieved good results.
Puzzle Dojo is a program which fosters "Spatial perception" and "Hypothetical thinking and Logical thinking" through developing the imaginary ability.
In addition to these, B-Mat includes a program that develops "a sense of amount (the Volume)" are developed, a academic ability will be risen since the understanding of a field of knowledge is also cultivated.
Moreover, B-MAT can be adopted to all age groups, it is a program which targets at not only preschool and elementary school children but also secondary school students and adults. It fosters a sense of mathematics, and also develops the thinking ability through the games, which is most important for business and a daily life.
About abilities which can be developed
※Focus to train "imaginary ability"
1) About the spatial perception
It not only develops an ability to solve questions about solid figures, but also it is quite an important ability in handling a job or playing sports (doctors, architects, design, soccer, rugby, etc.).
Moreover, by developing the spatial perception, it is possible to enhance "imaginary ability", which is a base of all thinking abilities.
2) About Hypothetical and Logical thinking abilities
It goes without saying that if the ability to think logically is developed, it would be helpful in various situations. Additionally, it is a hypothetical thinking that is important in B-MAT. The hypothetical ability is an ability to find a solution, repeating "hypothesis" --> "verification", and to develop this ability helps make more hypotheses quicker and verify them quicker.
Since this occupies most of the "problem-solving skills", it is a quite important skill in business and a daily life (it is important to do mathematics).
Here, the hypothetical thinking can be developed through games like "mathematical puzzles", etc.
3) Amount senses (the volume)
Develop the ability to picture the number as the volume and to image the various quantity relationships, centering developing an ability to compose and decompose (think without writing). By these, so-called a number sense is enhanced and the imaginary ability is developed.
